Downs Preschool opened on April 30, 1984.

Thanks to our strong educational curriculum, outstanding staff and committment to early childhood learning and development, Downs Preschool stands out as the largest and longest running Georgia Pre-K program in the area. 

We strive to provide each individual child with an environment that encourages self-discovery and a commitment to learning. Children are encouraged to learn how to solve problems, release their creativity and build social skills. All in all, our curriculum lays the foundation for a lifetime of learning.

We adhere to the highest standards of educational and child development. What's more, our dedicated staff has the experience and know-how to put these principles to work for each and every child. Downs Preschool carefully screens and interviews all teachers to ensure that they meet our high educational standards.

Our program is Qualiy Rated through Bright from the Start: The Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning.  Quality Rated indicated that our program goes above and beyond minimum licensing standards to support young children.

Each classroom has a large variety of manipulatives and materials to encourage creativity and exploration!
